Fresco is the art of painting on walls. Interiors of villas and palaces were covered with fanciful impressions of life and nature in the Greek world.

Relieves are sculptures on flat surfaces that stick out. The Greeks used reliefs to decorate buildings – especially temples – and on gravestones. On gravestones they would usually show the dead person but on temples the reliefs usually showed scenes from myth.
